Tara Hill Riding Club was first formed in 1995, under the name of Bachelors Lodge Riding Club. At this time the club was training and running shows in the grounds of Bachelors Lodge Riding Centre. In 1999, when the club ceased to use the equestrian centre's facilities, it seemed inappropriate to go by its name. At this point members chose the new name Tara Hill.
Since then, throughout the year, the club has met to train on a weekly basis at Kells Equestrian Centre, Carlanstown, Kells , County Meath. Our instructor is Kay Nolan.
We stage various equine related talks in the first part of the year, before the competitions begin in earnest. These have been held either at Kells EC or in the home of our club secretary.
Our club is part of the Midland Region, and we are affiliated to the AIRC
Our club colours are dark green with light green and gold, and our membership for 2009 was 37.

Apart from our weekly training, we organise groups to school over various cross-country courses and at other venues.
